- Stage platform to elevate the artist
Custom Stage Lighting Design
We design your stage lighting according to the theme of your event and specific requests. We manage the lighting design for your stage or attraction, taking into account the dimensions and particular requirements to achieve the most unique and breathtaking effect we can imagine!
We can map two-dimensional effects onto the LED tubes before the event to offer you a stunning visual experience.
We start with a discussion to identify your needs. During this consultation, feel free to let us know if you prefer certain stage styles. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out our portfolio portfolio to see our previous projects! You can click on each event for more photos. Otherwise, let us know if your event has a theme, and we’ll create something custom for you!
Equipment Delivery
The equipment is delivered to your event location when we handle the installation. If you also need sound equipment (subwoofer, speakers, etc.) or a stage platform, we have enough space to deliver it along with the lighting equipment!
Installation
Whether it's for an indoor or outdoor event, an attraction, a photoshoot, or a permanent installation in a performance venue, we install the lighting and whatever is required according to your needs, all done safely, even for the most ambitious designs. Installation times are arranged in advance with the organizers, and everything will be ready on time for a memorable event!
Lighting Console Operation
Our lighting technicians will be present during the event to ensure the system runs smoothly and to control the lights. We use a lighting control system entirely developed by GnuckSquad. This automated system is responsive to the music (kicks, beats, amplitude, frequencies) and adjusts the various lights according to what the DJ is playing. The lighting technician can manually control effects, animations, smoke geysers, strobes, etc., during the event. Control is managed from our lighting control booth or from the crowd using a wireless controller.
Teardown
Once the show is over, we work to ensure an efficient and quick teardown while leaving the venue clean. If the venue does not allow for a teardown immediately after the event, let us know so we can arrange to remove the equipment the following morning.
Equipment Rental Without Technician
Renting lighting equipment is a simple and affordable option for event organizers, lighting companies, photographers, and individuals who want to enhance the visual aspect of their project without the need for a full stage design and installation or hiring a lighting technician.
Our most popular rental service is the rental of 360° LED tubes. These tubes are available in 2m, 1.5m, 1m, and 0.5m sizes. We also rent out other equipment, but these currently require a lighting console and a qualified operator.
GnuckLite Lighting Controller
If you don't have a DMX console, the rental of LED tubes can include a fully automated GnuckLite lighting controller that syncs with the music and is controlled via a very simple and easy-to-use Android app. We provide the phone to use the app, which allows you to configure colors, animations, sound responsiveness, etc. It’s not necessary to have the phone on hand at all times for the lights to adjust, but our clients find using it enjoyable!
This system can also be adapted to other equipment if needed, for example, for installation in a performance venue. It allows for hassle-free lighting setup, especially in venues where no console or lighting operator is available. For more information about GnuckLite, please refer to the brochure and user manual.
Equipment
This section details the various stage lighting devices and stage equipment that we rent out, whether for a turnkey service or for rental.
Stage Lighting
360° LED Tubes
Information: The LED tubes consist of multiple pixels per meter that can be controlled independently to create animations, gradients, etc. Available lengths are 2 m, 1.5 m, 1 m, and 0.5 m.
Power: 20 W per meter
Use: Basis for the design of our stages. Allows for the creation of unique 2D or 3D structures.
Control: GnuckSquad Console, GnuckLite, DMX
Examples: Here are some examples of installations using these tubes by our clients or by GnuckSquad:
Multi-Zone Strobes
Information: 112 zones, rectangular shape
Power: 1000W
Use: Powerful animated rectangles that can replicate a video or animations. When pointed at the crowd, they provide a powerful strobe effect when in strobe mode.
Control: GnuckSquad Console, DMX.
Parleds
Information: Round parleds. Parleds provide colorful lighting that looks great both on stage and as decor.
Power: 360W
Use: Can be used as uplighting, meaning they can be placed upward near a wall or tree, for example. They can also be placed towards a DJ at low power to illuminate them, or towards the crowd in the manner of a strobe.
Control: GnuckSquad Console, DMX, automatic mode.
Example: Here they are at the Bass Afterparties of Escapade organized by Audioform at the Preston Center in Ottawa, where they provided softer lighting for the chill-out room.
Floodlight
Information: RGB LED light rectangles, water-resistant.
Power: 40W
Use: Used for ambient lighting. Can be pointed at trees to reflect light through the leaves, creating a magical atmosphere. Can also be used for fixed lighting towards the DJ or to highlight an area.
Control: IR. Not reactive to music.
UV Floodlight (Blacklight)
Information: Ultraviolet light rectangles for decor.
Use: To make fluorescent and white decorations react.
Control: On/off
Geysers
Information: Chauvet geysers that use a smoke liquid based on water and propylene glycol. They emit a large cloud of smoke projected vertically. RGB/Amber/UV LEDs illuminate the smoke. The smoke/light mix sometimes makes this column of smoke look like fire.
Use: In front of the stage, vertically, for impactful moments in the music that need extra emphasis! The smoke generated also helps to clearly see the beams of lasers and moving heads.
Control: GnuckSquad Console, manual or DMX.
Lasers
Information: RGB lasers with animations that can sync to the music.
Power: 3W or 5W
Use: The lasers dance above the crowd and reach very far. They are a favorite in electronic music shows. Care should be taken to avoid pointing them at the sky or any height that could come into contact with people's eyes.
Control: GnuckSquad Console, DMX, or ILDA.
Moving heads
Information: Moving light heads that can direct the light beam in multiple directions. The beam can be split into several smaller beams using the prisms in the moving heads or a gobo (a mask with a specific shape in front of the light).
Use: Above, below, to the sides, or in front of the stage; on the DJ table. Illuminates the crowd with moving lights.
Control: GnuckSquad Console or DMX
Infinity Mirrors
Information: These devices are designed with reflective and semi-reflective films, with LEDs around the edge. They create a tunnel effect whose orientation changes depending on the viewing angle. In stock: Infinity Star or Infinity Hexagon (2).
Use: They are reactive to music but can also be used solo in "static" mode as decor or attraction.
Control: GnuckSquad Console (no DMX, different communication protocol)
DJ Booth
Information: LED DJ booth in triangular sections that syncs to the music. LED speaker bars available on request.
Use: Placed on the table where the DJ mixes.
LED Arrays
Information: In development. LED matrix bars that can be placed vertically or horizontally.
Control: Video
